Fabrizio Dorsiconductor, studied at Verdi Conservatoire in Milan, graduating in Choral Music and Conducting, Orchestral Conducting and Composition and at the Catholic University of Milan where he majored in History of Music. After graduating he was admitted to the masterclasses held by Vladimir Delman, Franco Ferrara, Piero Bellugi and Leonard Bernstein in Italy and by Karl Österreicher and Julius Kalmar in Wien.

He made his debut in 1983-84 opera season of Bologna Municipal Opera House and then he conducted both operas and concertos, with many Italian, Czech, German and Swiss professional orchestras. His various performances have been recorded by Amadeus, Bongiovanni and La Bottega Discantica. He was invited as guest conductor by Rossini Opera Festival 2007, MiTo – Settembre Musica 2008 and Festival Verdi – Parma 2009.

Fabrizio Dorsi has been dean of Piacenza Conservatoire since November 2007 till October 2013, and currently he is teaching Orchestral Conducting at Verdi Conservatoire in Milan.
